RED, WHITE 'N
TRUE
THE HEELS ON THE
BUS

Slap that black boy upside his handsome
head and send him to the back of the bus where the little race-baiting,
trouble-making he-hasn’t-the-maturity-to-be-running-for-president, Barack
Obama ought to sit.
While this hypocrite of a politician who
speaks from both sides of his bi-racial mouth seduces the silly voters of
the United States into thinking he is someone different, it turns out that
the smooth-talking, jive-talking Barry Obama is not just any divider not
uniter. This guy seems hell-bent on restarting the American Civil War.
What a guy won’t do to get himself elected President of the United States.
And while he’s sitting on that buses’ back
seat, maybe he and his crony Rep. James Clyburn, D-SC can join hands and
sing Kumbaya while they reminisce the reality of the brilliance of
Reverend Martin Luther King’s dream, the one brought to fruition by
President Johnson when he signed the Civil Right Act in 1964 and the
Voting Rights Act in 1965.
The very same legislation Hillary Clinton
referred to in a speech in New Hampshire that the black bigots now say
somehow denigrates the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. and was racially
insensitive.
“I would point to the fact that Dr. King's dream began to be
realized when President Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964, when
he was able to get through Congress something that President Kennedy
couldn't," said that audacious honky Senator Clinton. Beat
her with a Jim Crow-bar. Have you ever
heard anything so racially insensitive in your life? Come on, let’s tar
and feather Mrs. Clinton, now! Oh, please.
But, of course, this nonsensical allegation
is a deliberate racial shot from a new black alliance, unfortunately all
to similar to past black alliances, formed to score political points, in
this case against the Clintons, in order to rally the vote of America’s
blacks for Barack Obama. I can just imagine what their internal polling is
telling the Obama camp for them to make such a politically risky move.
But, I’m
jumping ahead of myself. Here’s the back-black story, which is the cause
of my rant. A few days ago, after his loss in the New Hampshire primary,
in a slick move Senator Barack Obama's presidential campaign
apparently issued a memo listing a series of instances in which they
allege that the “First Black President” and “Mrs. First Black President”,
Bill and Hillary Clinton – so-named by America’s African-Americans because
of the Clinton’s long record of championing the cause of the
African-American community – has been deliberately playing the race card
during this primary season.
Reports say the memo was put into the hands of
an activist. It lists Obama’s South Carolina press secretary, Amaya Smith,
as the go-to person. But the campaign denies that they are trying to
capitalize on the issue for political expedience, noting that the document
never was sent to the press.
Similarly, the memo takes aim at
former President
Clinton for his speech at a campaign event at Dartmouth College. Here are
the words in question made by the former President: “You said in 2004
there was no difference between you and George Bush on the war and you
took that speech you’re now running on off your website in 2004 and
there’s no difference in your voting record and Hillary’s ever since. Give
me a break. This whole thing is the biggest fairy tale I’ve ever seen.”
Yep, hang the guy from the nearest tree. Racially insensitive? Give me
a break!
The highly-influential Rep. Clyburn had made a
deal with the Democratic Party that he would remain neutral in the election
if the party allowed South Carolina an early primary. That deal was cut
when Senator Obama was thought not to have a shot at the nomination. Now
that he does, it looks as if the Congressman needs to find a reason to
back out of his deal so he can be in the front of the bus on this one.
Last week he said he would reconsider his decision not to make an
endorsement should the questionable undertones of the campaign dialogue
continue. This setup of the Clinton’s is contrived to do just that.
Which leads me to the conclusion that it
just may be that happily, America is very much ready to elect an
African-American to the office of the presidency. But as long as an
African-American puts his or her race above all else, or uses race to earn
an advantage, or remains so sensitive that he can read racism into
sentences where it doesn’t exist, it may be that that African-American
isn’t ready for the job; surely, not this one who would sacrifice the
equanimity of his country in order to get where he wants to go.
The man’s a heel.
