John
Edwards, if nothing else, is the most earnest candidate
vying for the
office of President of the United States,
so it’s hard to make jokes about him, and even harder to take aim at his
platform.

Ted Kennedy’s
endorsement of
Barack Obama will be no bridge over the looming
troubled waters of the not-yet-a-one-term-senator in his bid to secure the
Democratic Party’s nomination for the presidency as a colorless candidate.

Poor
Barack Obama. He’s been snookered, hornswoggled, swindled, flimflammed,
beat to a pulp by that machine of political machines, Team Clinton, and
the poor guy didn’t even realize it till just a few days ago.

Shake, shake, shake that Wall Street Journal columnist
and former Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush speechwriter,
Peggy Noonan, who was frothing at the bit on
one of those Sunday morning talk shows yesterday; her face turned as red as her nemesis, Bill Clinton’s when he gets
worked up. Ms. Noonan is up-in-arms because she thinks that former President Bill
Clinton is acting un-presidential when he does what spouses of
candidates
for the presidency are supposed to do: HELP THEM WIN.

Slap that black boy upside his handsome

No
jokes here. What happened last night in New Hampshire was quite
extraordinary. Hillary Clinton didn’t only beat Barack Obama. Hillary beat
the American Press, the other candidate she’s been running against in this
campaign.

Now, Now wait just a minute! Hold onto your horses, Baby Boomers.
We may be moving up in years, but isn’t 60 the new 40 and
therefore 40 the new 20? So, what’s with this young colt with the long
legs, Barack Obama, 46, trying to tell us it’s time to put that old hag-NOT,
Hillary Clinton, 60, and the rest of us boomers out to pasture?

Isn’t
it lovely, isn’t it wonderful that an African-American man won such a
decisive victory in Iowa! It is. A year ago would we have thought it
possible? No. How about a month ago, let’s say before December 8th? Not.

THAT RAMA RAMA LAMA DING DONG
MICHELLE OBAMA
by

If
If ever there was a reason NOT to vote for Barack Obama it’s his rama-lama-ding-dong
wife, Michelle. Despite her fifties-styled dress, and her dippity-doo hairstyle, not to mention those ever-present strand of pearls,
she is clearly NOT June Cleaver, mother of Beaver.
With her much
scripted look and her oft-spoken about role as chief bucket holding parent
of the Senator and Mrs. Obama’s two daughters, she's not even
Donna
Reed. Closed.
