Like their Republican counterparts, Democrats are shopping for a new presidential nominee, trying to determine who would be the best candidate for America’s top job. On January 3rd, the first election of the eliminating process takes place. In Iowa, it’s down to the wire. The candidates are giving it their all. Where do they stand on the burning issues of the day: Iraq? Education? Health Care Reform? The Future of the Planet?

Beats me, because dominating the headlines are three little words: experience, hope and change. Sounds like a high school class president election rather than a presidential campaign to me.

Vote Barack. I’ll Get Us Out of Iraq…

It seems to me that arguing over who is the most experienced candidate is in itself silly. You don’t get to run for president of the United States if you don’t have a substantial résumé. But to help Americans make up their minds let’s look at the question who is the most experienced candidate running for the job? In order to determine the answer one would have to ask: What constitutes experience?

Been There Done That, Time to Bring a Clinton Back…

So, I decided to look up the meaning of the word “experience” and found this definition: “the process or fact of personally observing, encountering, or undergoing something…knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered, or undergone: a WO-man of experience.”

Vote for John, I’ll Keep Things Calm

According to this definition Hillary Clinton has the edge in this category just by virtue of being the oldest of the top tier democratic candidates and having spent eight years of her life “personally observing and encountering" the presidency. You might almost say she was the apprentice for the job.

Can’t Have Bill, Vote for Hill...

Now let’s take a look at change. Again, kind of a sophomoric discussion because like it or not, America is going to get change come the election. Tush is out and another team is in. Voila, change!

Edwards, Edwards he’s your man. If he can’t make change, no one can...

Now about hope…if ever there were a reason NOT to vote for a candidate it would be to vote for one whose candidacy promises nothing but hope. While hope is sustaining, it is not a word of action. It is impetus and mere suggestion. Without action hope is nothing more than a dream.

I’m No Dope, I’m Full of Hope,Vote Barack Obama...
