One thing we've learned since President Obama took power. He has shown the world that he fears Iran more than N. Korea and China. Iran has the administration quaking in its boots.
How scared is the administration of Iran? The President
of the United States wants so much to talk to Iran that it has floated the
idea of abandoning the U.S.
insistence that Teheran cease all uranium enrichment before negotiating.
The administration's mouthpiece at the NY Times, Roger Cohen, ended his Op-Ed Monday with advice for the cowered American president: "To avoid that nightmare Obama will have to get tougher with Israel than any U.S. president in recent years. It’s time..." the nightmare, of course, being that Israel finds itself in the unenviable position of having to take preventive measures against Iran to secure herself.
The clear position the panicky White House has taken towards dealing with a nuclear-armed Iran despite candidate Barack Obama's promise to be a friend to Israel is to ask Israel to make all concessions toward the Palestinians, most notably, give up Israel's security for America's economic and physical security in order to bring Iran into the fold.
In other words, Israel should take the hit for America, which in the long run could mean the end to the Jewish State as we know it. We might very well lose our longtime partner who shared the role of controlling the lunatic nomads that have settled in the oil rich land who call themselves Kings, but are nothing more than sometimes Western-dressed tribal leaders whose religions tell them to destroy the Infidels, us.
Of course, the U.S. President must put America above Israel in negotiating peace in the Middle East. But the U.S. President would be foolish to forget that Israel’s security is indistinguishable from our own.
Surely, there are more ways than one to skin a scardycat? Is the U.S. completely without bargaining chips in the Middle East? Isn't offering to negotiate with Iran without asking Iran to pause in their nuclear quests the same as giving Iran the opportunity to complete the development of their nuclear weapon? Will short-term gains at the expense of Israel mean long-term peace for all?
Unlikely.
Despite George W. Bush's Middle-East folly, it is notable that terrorists have not struck America since 2001. But the Oil Cartel has with its economic war begun last year, which is the true cause of the world economic meltdown. The American government doesn't want to name this truth. But surely they understand this power the Oil giants hold over America. Their bargaining chip, their blackmail, has become Iran and Syria, this chapter the dénouement of the Middle Eastern games.
Lost in an apparent idea dirge, bowing in fear to the oil baron's and their desire to bring the Palestinian people into their fold -- though not willing to give them a home on their soil, but preferring to set them up in the Two-More-States solution, the Gaza strip and the West Bank -- we will all be vulnerable if Iran is allowed to become a nuclear power with its friends the terrorist Hamas at the helm of each of the new states. This will elevate the position of Russia as well.
And what of Lebanon and the Iranian-backed Hezbollah, Syria and the disputed ownership of the strategically located Golan Heights owned by Israel since the 1967 Six-Day War? Israel is alone without its only friend standing squarely with her while her enemies set up the pincer movement; the consummate military maneuver to be wrought against the Jewish State with the aid of her onetime friends the US. The solo journey the baby state seems destined to endure reminds one of her earliest days when by ship survivors of the Holocaust with no place to go, no one wanting the displaced Jews, drifted at sea alone in the dark night of world history.
It is out of that darkness that we arrive at today with a misguided American President setting Israel on a lonely sail once again painting the scenario for the Arabs and their frenemies the Persians to gain complete control of the Middle East. Then they will have not only the oil in which to hold America hostage and ultimately destroy if not neuter the Jewish State, but the arms to do it as well – not only nuclear arms. Once the Palestinians gain their own states, they will arm themselves. Israel will be completely surrounded by its armed enemies, vulnerable on all flanks.
The hope that the tribal leaders will forget their core religious beliefs is simply foolish. Ideology is not killed by winning, but is destroyed by control.
With the Palestinians removed from Israeli land, Israel will be a sitting duck for their enemies who will no longer fear inflicting physical harm on Israel, the Jewish State they despise and the country they don’t recognize. Israel will no longer be protected by the Palestinian presence. Israel, will then be able to count the seasons until she is completely destroyed.
Keep writing, Mr. Cohen, and offering your silly solutions as the voice of an American President with myopic vision and an absolutely inane solution to the problem of a nuclear-powered Iran in the Middle East. If your team can't dream up a viable solution, then let Israel do its job and strike Iran, if for no other reason than to buy time, until an American president capable of a smart solution comes along.
The last thing America needs now is to capitulate to the threat of the Arabs, and certainly not to the Iranians. We need some sharpshooters here.
President Obama seems convinced that he can sit down and break bread with the Iranians and eventually cut a deal that will soothe the Oil Cartel, the Turks, the Syrians, the Iranians, the Lebanese. He would like Americans to think that what he offers is a clean deal.
It is not.
The world should be mindful that the deal actually being made is not only with Iran but with their terrorist organization friends Hamas, Hezbollah, Fatah, the PLO, and the Arab nations who share their hatred of all things Jewish, particularly Jewish states. Worst of all, it is a back-channel deal with al Qaeda and Osama bin Laden.
In fact, President Obama’s new foreign policy initiative has elevated the power of Iran and all of the terrorist organizations, resting the security of the entire Middle East squarely in the hands of madmen.
Sometimes doing nothing is better than doing something. It’s always smart to leave some options on the table.
A warning for our neophyte and woefully naïve president: Was not President Roosevelt talking to the Japanese the day their planes were flying across the Pacific to bomb President Obama's beloved Hawaii?
There is no difference between Kamikaze pilots and rogue nations who pledge in the name of their religious beliefs to wipe Israel off the face of the earth believing that the death of Israel will be their free pass to heaven.
None.
